More on Learning 2.0...
Can't we just skip all of this middle mayhem and get to Library 4.0?

It sounds like an almost ideal place, I know I wouldn't mind entering a library with that kind of atmosphere.
I guess since I don't know of any time traveling technology to get to that point we'll just have to wait it out and see how we fare with all these new tech changes and patron expectations. I've said it before and I'll probably say it again this change and our adaptation to it is inevitable. Of course there's nothing like opening a brand new book and getting a whiff of that new book scent and cracking the spine or opening an older book that's shown wear and tear from the years and finding first editions and all that but we know that nowadays you can go ahead and download the newest publications in seconds.
I don't believe that new technology has to be the end all be all of everything the library was or is today, it's just that we need to take our steps into helping out those that come to us for help and using our resources whether it be old fashioned or just published online information to get the answers to their questions. It's all about give and take you have to welcome new ideas all the while setting aside outdated information but and sorting out what actually is relevant and useful. At least I think so, maybe my opinion will change when we reach 3.0. We'll just wait and see...
